With an air of the macabre and the stench of rotting death saturating the night, men and women both don their scariest, sexiest, or often stupidest costumes as the booze flow in full force, sweets are gobbled down without regret, and everyone is bound to get down. Halloween is without a doubt our favorite holiday, and you’re in luck because we are willing to dig through the rubbish house parties and lame sausage fest venues to find the real gems around town.

5.         Maxim Masquerade at Supperclub

Woldwide Productions and Boulevard nightlifegroup present to you “The Maxim Halloween Party” at number 5, the world famous “Supperclub.” Located 6675 hollywood boulevard. The club, which is known for its huge dance floor, elevated cushions, aerials dancers and large stage offers exactly the experience one is looking to get from a night out in Hollywood. Supper club brings you beautiful Maxim models, exotic masks and amazing DJs that will make your Halloween enchanting and unforgettable. Like the authentic masquerade balls in Venice, Supperclub decided to add the element of mystery by requiring people to wear masks to imbune a sense of ambiguous voyeurism. Despite it being a costume party, dresscode is enforced and GA tickets are $50.

4.         Roosevelt Hotel

Halloween at the Roosevelt Hotel is quickly becoming a Hollywood tradition. They have a great party set up, including bar and pool area, and decent enough sound system. More importantly, if you dig house, the EC Twins will be performing there Sunday, October 29th, and they are the original Hollywood House kings. Other DJs include Edi, Omi, David Bollocl, Remy, and Edski, so of you want a night full of amazing dance music to get your groove on, Roosevelt is the obvious destination for Tier 3 individuals. GA is $95 and VIP will set you back $175, but how could you put a price on an experience?

3.         King Tut’s Tomb at Egyptian Theater

King Tut’s Tomb Comes Alive at the Egyptian Theater, located 6712 Hollywood Boulevard. The 3rd annual party will grow even larger with LA’s favorite DJ Prophet who will play the best hip-hop Top 40 club mix to get your groove on in full costume with all your fiends.

The décor is great here, but the main attraction here is the OPEN BAR FOR VIP, which is definitely worth it if you are going to be drinking yourself under the table. GA starts at $20 and a wide array of VIP, open bar, and bottle service tickets are available.

2.         Heaven and Hell at Ecco

This is the 18th Anniversary of Heaven & Hell; the longest running Halloween Traditions in Hollywood. As fate would have it this year, “Heaven” falls on a Friday, October 28th, and “Hell” will rise on Saturday, October 29th at the Ecco, located 1640 N. Cahuenga Blvd. Two nights of indecision, will it be Heaven or Hell. Cash Costume Contest, 5 Bars, Live performances, 21+, Angel Celebrities, Doors Open at 9pm and close 3am on both nights that you are sure to remember. Around here, Heaven and Hell is a Halloween tradition, which scores it bonus point in my book. Watch this event closely as the day of the dead approaches and we shall see what develops.

Heaven Hell is the second best party around LA on Saturday, October 29th 2011 Day 2 of Heaven & Hell Halloweekend The Sexiest Porn Stars & DJ Line-up TBA, if at all. General Admission starts at $30.

1.      Dead Celebrities at Madame Tussauds

Want to spend Halloween surrounded by the biggest celebrities of the last century? One of Hollywood’s top tourist destinations, and the number one Hollywood party, Madame Tussauds Wax Attractions will host the hottest ticket in town for Halloween Weekend as LA’s premier event producers bring you the DEAD CELEBRITIES Halloween Costume Ball on Saturday, October 29th. This one of a kind event will showcase two floors of maze-like atmosphere with hundreds of celebrity wax figures along with hundreds of Hollywood’s elite costume clad partygoers dressed as their favorite dead celebrities.

For one night Madame Tussauds will be transformed into the perfect Halloween party complete with open bar all night, complimentary buffet, five bars, three dance floors, and VIP tables with wax-Will Smith, Angelina Jolie, Justin Timberlake and more seated in their sections, offering its guests the ability to mingle with wax celebrities and Hollywood’s elite, all while enjoying one of the biggest tourist attractions in Southern California. This never-done-before event will also feature an all-star DJ lineup including; Eric Cubeechee, Rico Rox, & DJ Coolwhip. Good music and company for a GA ticket of $75.

Honorable Mention – Art of Bleeding and Friends

While not quite a party as much as it is a sideshow attraction, The Art of Bleeding will once again transform the Steve Allen Theater (located 4773 Hollywood Blvd) parking lot into a ghoulish carnival of entertaining catastrophes featuring a SPECTACULARLY REAL MULTI-VEHICLE CAR-CRASH TABLEAU. Against a smoldering backdrop of twisted cars, you’ll have the opportunity to hear TRUE STORIES OF MEDICAL HORRORS and ACCIDENTS from a rotating lineup of storytellers. Providing dubious educational counterbalance to these tales of trauma will be THE ART OF BLEEDING‘s “Magic Ambulance Theater,” a tragically misguided children’s show featuring gore-drenched actors, pedantic Safety Ape, bickering robot, and an ample array of attendant nurses in less-than-ample wardrobe.

Expect other hairpin twists, turns, and terrifying surprises including additional comic ambulance horrors from The Art of Bleeding, surprise guests, and a frighteningly live sound-performance installation by BOUNCEHAUSEN sonically recreating the moment of impact in an auto crash, stretched into a luxurious 2 hours of molecularly exploding steel and glass. Also, FEMALE BLOOD WRESTLING! FEMALE BLOOD WRESTLING! Enjoy sexy-gory one-night-only addition to our bill as burlesque beauties step into the ring Sunday 10/30. Halloween costumes encouraged!! Doctors, nurses, and accident victims particularly welcome. Prizes for outstanding efforts related to our theme. Shows run 8 to 10 PM.
